FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Tax day is just around the corner and if you're in need of help to file your 2015 tax returns you're in luck.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, or VITA, is providing free tax preparation services to Fresno and Madera County families with a household income of $62,000 or less. It's sponsored by the local United Way.
The deadline to file your taxes is Monday, April 18th. It's usually on April 15th but this year the government is giving you three more days because of Emancipation Day in Washington, D.C.
The free VITA services run through mid-April.
