Central Valley Relay raises awareness for burn survivors
Preparations are underway in Clovis for a relay to bring awareness to burn survivors.

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Preparations are underway in Clovis for a relay to bring awareness to burn survivors.

On Wednesday, a parade of fire trucks will begin making their way through the Valley for the Second Annual Central Valley Relay to benefit burn survivors.

This week is national burn awareness week. To honor survivors, a parade of fire trucks and engines will stop at eight fire stations in the Central Valley to raise awareness for the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF). At each stop the foundation will present a check to each fire department to recognize their contributions.

The foundation works to enhance the quality of life for burn survivors and promote burn prevention education.
