Valley Animal Center holds its first annual Puppy Bowl
The animals featured in the event are all available for adoption, many of them are at their final home if they don't get a forever family as the VAC is a no-kill shelter.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It was a close game Friday morning as pups competed for the Valley Animal Center's first ever puppy bowl.

Some analysts are even claiming, it's the cutest line-up of dogs to take to the gridiron.

The animals featured in the event are all available for adoption, many of them are at their final home if they don't get a forever family as the VAC is a no-kill shelter. "The goal of the Valley Animal Center is to help alleviate the overpopulation problem in the Fresno-area through adoptions," Nina Tonnu with the center said. "So, having the opportunity to showcase some of our adoptable's is really great for us."

The Valley Animal Center is funded entirely by community donations.
