Fresno police arrest man who tried to rob a taco truck in southeast Fresno
A suspect is now in custody for trying to rob a taco stand in southeast Fresno.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A suspect is now in custody for trying to rob a taco stand in southeast Fresno. It happened around 10:30 Sunday night near First and Tulare.

Police said 30-year-old Jovante Hall approached the stand and demanded money from the vendor, but eventually left without taking anything.

Officers found Hall a short time later and they said he confessed to police he needed money for meth.

Police said the crime is not connected to a similar robbery in southeast Fresno and they're talking to vendors letting them know there is not a trend in the city.
