FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police say their crackdown on auto thieves in southeast Fresno is getting results.

The department says last month, there were 110 cars stolen during a 28 day period in southeast Fresno, But in the past 28 days, there have been 71 stolen cars -- a 36 percent reduction.

Authorities say there are many reasons for the decrease, including the launch of the Top Ten Most Wanted Auto Thieves list back on February 4. Since then, officers have arrested four of the people on that list along with ten other suspected auto thieves.

All of those arrests have ended peacefully.
