Student-made robots battle in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A robot battle is brewing here in the valley and now we're getting a preview of two of the competitors.

The Buchanan Bird Brains and the Sanger Uni-Rex both held open houses Sunday to reveal the robots they've spent weeks building. Buchanan has a long history of success with its robot program while this is the first competitive season for Sanger.

Both schools are gearing up for the 5th Central Valley Regional First Robotics competition at Madera South High School March 10 through the 13.

They'll have a shot at earning a bid to the national championship in Saint Louis in April.
