FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are searching for suspects who stole nine guns from a home in West Central Fresno Friday.
The burglars broke into the house near Brawley and Shields Avenues around 9 a.m. after the homeowners left for work. Investigators say the circumstances around this crime are unusual because the suspects stole only guns, a bicycle and a watch.
Just those items were stolen despite the fact that there was cash in plain view and electronics all over the house.
Police say the way the suspects got into the house was also noteworthy. "They burrowed through the bedroom, which is adjacent to the garage, and put a hole in it, went in there and right in that bedroom is where the guns were," Lt. Joe Gomez with the Fresno Police Department said.
Police say three young men then got into a getaway car driven by a woman with pink or purple hair. The suspect vehicle is described as a pewter-colored Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban.
