Loved ones mourn loss of 8-year-old girl

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Loved ones are mourning the loss of an 8-year-old girl who captured hearts across the Valley.

The aunt of Zurylisa Garcia says she died peacefully in her home Saturday morning in her mother's arms. The little girl had been battling brain cancer.

We brought you a story about Zurylisa last month when she was reunited with her puppy, Frida, which relatives say had been stolen from their home.

Family and friends gathered at her Fresno home for a candlelight vigil.
