Selma family holds blood drive in honor of killed teen
Family and friends of Jesse Lujan are asking the community to help celebrate his life by donating blood. Jesse was killed in car accident back in 2011.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A blood drive took place in Selma Sunday in the name of a late teen who was killed in car accident back in 2011.

Family and friends of Jesse Lujan are asking the community to help celebrate his life by donating blood.

Lujan's family says their goal is to help hundreds of valley patients have more time with their loved ones because of the blood collected in Jesse's name. "My son was such a giving loving caring child that this is something that he would love to do in memory of him," Jesse's mother Norfilia Garza said.

An event took place Sunday at the Church of God in Selma with the help of the Central California Blood Center, but people will be able to donate in Jesse's name until next Saturday at any valley donor center.
