Hundreds attend Girls World Expo in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Hundreds of local girls now have more of the tools they need to succeed. They all learned some valuable lessons in female empowerment during the Girls World Expo at the DoubleTree Hotel in Downtown Fresno Sunday.

The free event offered workshops, demonstrations, and displays on everything from college and career choices, to nutrition, body image and self-defense.

There was also a fashion show, an art show plus live music and dance.

The expo travels all across the United States.
