DENVER (KFSN) -- Fresno State's season comes to an end in the first round of the NCAA Tournament with 80-69 loss to Utah. Fresno State trailed 33-22 at the half but made a push in the 2nd half and took a 1 point lead when Julien Lewis hit a 3-pointer with 10:34 to go in the 2nd half.
The Runnin' Utes responded with a 19-2 run to regain the lead and take control. Utah dominated the game on the glass outrebounding Fresno State, 38-15. Despite forcing 20 Utes turnovers, the Bulldogs were unable to respond to the 2nd half run from Utah.
Fresno State finishes the season 25-10 overall in their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2001.
