The multi-agency access program took the opportunity today to let folks know 3,500 have had access to services and almost 700 families have received housing with over 300 of those are veterans.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It's been a year since the city of Fresno began a coordinated effort to help the city's homeless.

Hundreds of families have taken advantage and now have housing.

The multi-agency access program took the opportunity today to let folks know 3,500 have had access to services and almost 700 families have received housing with over 300 of those are veterans.

The name of the program is Map Point at the Pov.

It was put in place last year when the federal government mandated all cities come up with a coordinated program of housing and social services for the homeless.
