FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The largest Rinehart 3D Archery Tournament was held this weekend in Fresno and hosted by the local non-profit organization Break the Barriers.

The event started Saturday and was expected to receive at least 400 archers from all over the country.

It was designed to offer the experience to all levels of ability including 25 wheelchair accessible courses.

The event happens every year and Fresno was the chosen city for its visit to the state.

"It's made its trek across the nation," Jared Hergenrader with Break the Barriers said. "It's been to North Carolina, it's been to Texas, it's been to Kentucky, it's been to Utah, it's been up to Washington but we are blessed to have it for the first time here in California."

Organizers say archer is one of the largest programs at Break the Barriers.

Proceeds at the event will go right back into the non-profit's funds.
