Police investigate a drive-by shooting in Southwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. -- An investigation is underway in a drive-by shooting in Southwest Fresno.

It happened around 10 a.m. on Monday at California Avenue and Pottle Avenue. Police say the victim was standing on the sidewalk when a man in a car pulled up and shot at him. The victim was hit once in the lower leg as he ran from the attack. He is expected to survive.

Police say they believe the attack may be gang related.
