Surveillance video shows burglar can't break into Tower District business

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Tower District criminal failed at breaking into a record store and got caught on camera in the process.

Owners at Free Bird company spotted dozens of holes in their front window on Friday morning and thought someone had shot at it. But surveillance video shows what appears to be a woman in a baseball hat and shorts, using something like an ice pick to pound on the glass.

Police are now investigating and looking into whether there's any connection to a previous break-in involving a brick or to several car burglaries with broken windows.
