2 men hospitalized and 1 man in custody after bizarre fight in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One man is in custody and two people are in the hospital after a bizarre fight Wednesday morning in Central Fresno. It happened around 9:30 in the area of Thesta and Fedora.

Investigators said two men got into a fight in the backyard of a home after the homeowner discovered that a man he was letting live at his house broke into his shed. When the homeowner confronted the man, identified only as Daniel, Daniel pulled a knife. And then later hit the homeowner with a bat and chased him back inside.

A short time later Daniel was shot by a neighbor.

The neighbor was taken into custody for the shooting.

Both Daniel and the homeowner are recovering in the hospital.
