Atwater HS stabbing suspect now a rape suspect

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police said a female came forward Wednesday saying she was raped by the teen who is accused of stabbing a special needs student on Wednesday at Atwater High School.

Investigators said it was unclear if the stabbing and the rape are connected -- but they did not happen on the same day.

Atwater Police have not confirmed the age of the reported rape victim. The suspect is being held at a juvenile detention center for assault with a deadly weapon charge.
