13 people treated after 10 cars crash on I-5 near Mendota

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An accident involving 10 cars caused major traffic congestion on Interstate 5 near Mendota on Friday.

The crashes happened around 8 p.m. near I-5 and Manning Avenue in western Fresno County.

The California Highway Patrol reports the chain-reaction crash started after one car hit the median and rolled.

Firefighters have treated 13 people. One of them is in critical condition.
