Caregivers Day

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The tables turned for some caregivers in Fresno today as someone took care of them.

Paintbrush Assisted Living and Memory Care honored caregivers with 10-minute massages, lunch and guest speaker.

The family caregiver often has to manage the person's daily life. That can include helping with daily tasks like bathing, eating, or taking medicine -- as well as arranging activities and making health and financial decisions. But Thursday, organizers wanted to make sure caregivers know it's important to take time for themselves.

The event concluded with a raffle for two "pamper yourself" gift baskets.
