A medical team was able to stabilize a female veteran that had a severe health scare before the flight landed in Colorado Springs.

Honor Flight spokesperson, Paul Loeffler, said the onboard doctor made the decision for the plane to make an unscheduled landing. After the flight landed, the woman was taken to a hospital in Colorado Springs where she is resting with her daughter.

The woman was not able to continue on the trip, but Loeffler said she was promised a seat on the next Honor Flight.
