Action News celebrates stations 60th anniversary

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Here at ABC30, we are celebrating a very special day. On this day, May 10th, 60 years ago our television station first went on the air. But things looked a bit different back then.

Our old call letters were KFRE TV, and back then the station was owned by the California Inland Broadcasting Company and went on air on a part time basis. Originally on channel 12.

The station would later switch to channel 30 and we became an ABC affiliate in 1985.

So we celebrate an Action News happy 60th anniversary.
