DA files murder charges against Dave McCann
Fresno County District Attorney's Office has filed murder charges against double murder suspect Dave McCann.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The man accused of murdering his wife and mother-in-law in Clovis is now charged with special circumstance murder charges.

The District Attorney's Office just announced 49-year-old Dave McCann was charged with two counts of murder, as well as an enhancement for using a knife during the commission of the crimes and a special circumstance allegation for committing multiple murders.

McCann was arrested near Monterey early Wednesday morning. He had been on the run since Saturday.

McCann is suspected of killing his estranged wife Tierney Cooper-McCann and her mother, Judith Cooper. Both women were found stabbed to death in McCann's Clovis home.

McCann faces a potential sentence of life in prison if convicted.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday, May 13th.
