Woman arrested after hitting 3 vehicles and an apartment unit in Northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police cleared the scene of a hit-and-run accident in Northwest Fresno just in time for rush hour. It happened in the area of Herndon near Fruit.

Police said a 30-year-old female driver hit three vehicles and an apartment unit.

She was caught a short time later hiding in a closet of the apartment she crashed into.

Investigators believe alcohol played a role in the incident.

Traffic was backed up for a while but no one was injured.
