Porterville man arrested for hitting 1-year-old, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Porterville man is in jail Saturday after he was arrested for abusing a one-year-old.

Police arrested Tyler Davis at a home in Porterville Friday after responding to a child abuse call.

That's where they found the toddler with visible bruising.

Police determined that Davis, the mother's boyfriend, had hit the child.

That child was taken to the hospital with a possible skull fracture but is expected to recover.

Other children who were in the home are now with Child Protective Services.
