Family of 9 homeless after Central Fresno apartment fire
The manager of the complex was treated for minor smoke inhalation after he got on the roof and tried to fight the fire himself.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A family of nine is without a home Sunday after their apartment in central Fresno caught fire.

Firefighters say the fire started in a top story apartment near Belmont and Cedar Avenues.

They say the four adults and five children in the apartment got out safe.

The manager of the complex was treated for minor smoke inhalation after he got on the roof and tried to fight the fire himself.

The first story apartment was slightly damaged while the rest were not affected.

The cause is under investigation.
