At least one motor home is completely destroyed and nearby mobile homes damaged from a large fire Sunday in west Fresno.

The fire erupted near Princeton and Marks Avenue. Firefighters say they were delayed getting to the scene because of traffic from people who stopped to watch the flames.

Two mobile homes have at least partial damage and one motor home where the fire was believed to have started burned to the ground.

Neighbors say they were able to help save five puppies trapped inside.

"She had one of the guys hose her down and then she walked like a little duck all the way down until she got them all," neighbor Elizabeth Seyler said. "And we got all the puppies but we still can't find the momma."

Fire crews say the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
