3 car crash kills one and injures 4, including 2-year-old in Madera County
According to the Madera CHP, a three car collision ended with one person killed and a two-year-old and three others injured.

MADERA COUNTY (KFSN) -- According to the Madera CHP, a three car collision ended with one person killed and a two-year-old and three others injured. The crash happened on Highway 41 south of Road 200 in Madera County.

Around 12:50 a.m. Saturday morning Madera CHP received a call of a crash involving three vehicles. According to authorities, a woman from Oakhurst driving a Honda Civic was driving south with a two-year-old girl in the car when, for unknown reasons, she crossed over into oncoming traffic. The Honda collided with two other cars head on.

One of the cars caught fire which caused a brush fire that has since been contained.

The driver of the Honda was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. Her two-year-old passenger suffered major injuries and was taken to Valley Children's Hospital where she is in critical condition.

The people in the other cars were also taken to CRMC with major injuries but are expected to survive.

Alcohol or drugs are considered to have contributed to the accident.
