FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A former Parlier high school basketball coach facing sex charges pleaded "not guilty" in court Monday.

Francisco Pena entered the plea in the morning.

The judge also issued a criminal protective order, banning him the former coach from contacting the victim in the case.

Pena is not allowed to go within 100 yards of the young woman's home or work.

Parlier Police also recommended two other staff members be charged with crimes for failing to report the sexual activity.

Pena was ordered to return to court in July.
