Body found in canal near Sanger

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Sanger Police are investigating the death of a man found in a canal Sunday morning.

The body was found near Newmark and North Avenues.

The Fresno County Sheriff's dive team pulled the body out and say his death is now being treated as suspicious because of trauma found on his body.

At this point, they aren't identifying the man who appears to be in his 30s.
