Man killed in Madera shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Madera Police is investigating a dead body found in a local parking lot.

Police say the body was found in an empty parking lot near 11th Street and Gateway Drive.

They say the man appears to be about 35-years-old and died from a gunshot wound.

The body was found at about 6 a.m. but police believe the man had been shot several hours earlier.

Police have not released his identity.
