Fresno man arrested after gun was found in girlfriend's daughter's bedroom

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno man could be in court as early as Friday after police said they found a loaded gun in his girlfriend's daughter's bedroom.

Officers went to the home for a parole check on Vidal Martinez. They said they watched the 25-year-old through a window as he came out of the bedroom to answer the door.

When they checked the closet in the room, police said, they found a loaded handgun and all the bullets.

Apparently the room belongs to the 11-year-old daughter of his girlfriend.

Martinez now faces numerous felony charges.

Police said he is a known gang member.
