FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A firework display at the Island Water Park in Northwest Fresno ends in flames after a grass fire broke out in a nearby field.

Firefighters said it's burned at least four acres near the park.

Firefighters were delayed because of the amount of traffic coming from the water park.

Flames were several feet in the air.

The Fresno fire department said it happened right after a firework show put on by Island Water Park ended. The operations manager for island water park believes dry grass and strong winds is what caused it.

"Unfortunately, so many dry years has caused this problem that you see now. It didn't hit structures, it's out in the middle of a field, but still you know it takes them away from things to as well. It's just important to remember how easy things can catch on fire," said Mark Hopkins, Island Water Park.

There were 3,400 people at the Island Water Park watching the show when the fire happened.

No structures were damaged and no one was injured.

Firefighters said they have had three fires in the last three days caused by fireworks.

The Island Water Park will be open Sunday and firework shows will continue over the next couple days
