Dead trees make Bass Lake fireworks show difficult
Bass Lake is always a popular destination on the 4th of July.

BASS LAKE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Bass Lake is always a popular destination on the 4th of July. But this year, the tree removal process has the picnic areas closed off, so there's not many places to view the fireworks, or even park.

Some resident arrived as early as 4 a.m. on Monday morning to stake out there spot for the fireworks show on Monday night. But with the water levels high, and the day use area closed due to dead tree removal, finding a place to put all the people looking to watch the show is challenging. Find a place to park has also been a challenge for visitors.

The fireworks show starts at around 9 p.m. Monday -- a tradition that started back in 1937.
