2 sides agree to mediation in Yosemite naming rights
The legal battle over the trademarking of several names inside Yosemite National Park may be settled soon.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The legal battle over the trademarking of several names inside Yosemite National Park may be settled soon.

The National Park Service and former concessionaire Delaware North have agreed to a mediation session. The company had been with the park since 1993 and owns the naming rights to many of the park's famous locations. The park service may have to pay for continued use of the names since the two sides are no longer in business together.

In the meantime, the names have been changed until a verdict can be reached. It's unclear when the mediation will begin.
