Kings County woman in jail, accused of abusing her baby

FRESNO, Calif. -- Police arrested 23-year-old Priscilla Davis at a home in Hanford just after 10 p.m. on Thursday. This came after reports that she slapped her one-year-old and attempted to suffocate the child.

Family members were able to get the child away from Davis. Police say the child suffered visible injuries and has been checked and released from the hospital into the care of child protective services.

Davis is being held on $50,000 bail.
