Fresno deputy's filmmaking dreams become reality
Fresno County Sheriff's Deputy Ernest Serrano and his team are filming a horror film called "Grim Weaver." He plans to release it just before Halloween.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno County Sheriff's deputy is fulfilling his dream of becoming a filmmaker and he's achieving that goal right here in Fresno.

Deputy Ernest Serrano and his team are filming "Grim Weaver" at the San Joaquin College of Law.

The horror film follows four powerful people who are trying to keep a secret from ruining their lives.

The goal is to premiere the movie in October, just in time for Halloween.

Serrano says now that his film production company is up and running and he plans to retire as a deputy in the next year or two.
