Authorities searching for suspect in Oakhurst's first homicide in 2 years
Locals said a motorcycle club from Fresno and one from Oakhurst got into an argument over territory. It escalated quickly and police are still looking for the suspect that stabbed 45-year-old Jacob Jerome Henderson.

OAKHURST, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Madera County Sheriff's Office identified 45-year-old Jacob Jerome Henderson as the victim of a deadly stabbing on Saturday.

Frantic calls between dispatchers and deputies illustrate the chaos in broad daylight.

"We've got one down on the ground," a deputy said on his radio. "We're going to need 1141, code three. Chest compressions are being done."

The 911 recordings paint a violent picture af two motorcycle groups fighting in a back parking lot.

"RP states he believes his friend was stabbed and is behind the building," another deputy said on Saturday. "And there was another caller that said there was a motorcycle group that left the area. One with a gun, another one with a stick."

Locals said a motorcycle club from Fresno and one from Oakhurst got into an argument over territory.

"Do we need to make a call to detectives?" a dispatcher asked.

"Affirm," he replied. "It is going to be gang-related."

"Two witnesses on-scene. We're working on suspecting info. We've got a motorcycle gang here."

Now, the search is on for Henderson's killer. He's from Oakhurst and died behind this building from being stabbed.

"Whatever happened was isolated to that area," Cmdr. Bill Ward with MCSO said. "I don't think there's any reason to believe the community at large would be in any more danger."

The last time a murder happened in this town was two years ago.

It's a rarity according to Oakhurst area native Bill Armstrong, who's family has lived here since 1963.

"I have always felt safe, yeah," he said.

Murder isn't a crime Armstrong hears about in this part of Madera County.

"I feel no need to own a firearm or arm up because of a situation here," he said.

The Madera County Sheriff's Office won't give a desciption of possible suspects just yet or confirm if motorcycle clubs from the area are involved in the murder.
