Driver killed in single car crash in Fresno
Police are investigating a crash that killed a man in Northeast Fresno.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating a crash that killed a man in Northeast Fresno.

It happened around eleven o'clock Wednesday night at Willow Avenue and Herndon Avenue. Police say the driver crossed the center median and hit a tree. The truck then veered into a field, where it came to a stop.

Detectives found the driver unconscious and rushed him to the hospital, where he died.

At this time, police do not know why the man lost control. It's unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Herndon Avenue was shut down Wednesday night, but it has been re-opened.
