FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno Police are investigating two separate burglary cases at local high schools and believe they could be connected.

In Thursday night's incident at Clovis North, a band teacher confronted two suspects after seeing them inside the music room.

Both eventually ran off but one of them left some of the equipment behind.

There was a similar crime at Clovis West earlier this week.

"There is a possibility that it's the same suspects," Lt. Joe Gomez with the Fresno Police Department said. "Clovis police is primary on that investigation so we are going to work with them to see if we can tie these together."

The teacher recognized one of the suspects as a former student.

He's been identified as Theodore Margosian.

Police are still searching for Margosian and the second suspect.
