10-year-old rescued after falling down cliff near Bass Lake

The Madera County Sheriff's Office said the boy fell 30-feet down the face of a granite cliff and was unconscious at the bottom of the waterfall.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 10-year-old boy was rescued Saturday after falling off Angel Falls in Bass Lake.

The Madera County Sheriff's Office said the boy fell 30-feet down the face of a granite cliff and was unconscious at the bottom of the waterfall when crews got word around 11:15 a.m.

Rescue crews airlifted the boy to Valley Children's Hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery.

Authorities said this was the second rescue operation in the area in six weeks.
