Blackstone Avenue closed in North Fresno after woman struck by car

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Blackstone Avenue is shut down in north Fresno after a woman was hit by a car, Fresno Police said.

Authorities said the woman was crossing Blackstone near Gettysburg when a minivan collided with her around 8:30 p.m. They said the driver didn't see her when the crash happened. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The woman was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said the north and south lanes of Blackstone will be shut down for several hours while they investigate what happened.
