TULARE COUNTY (KFSN) -- Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux formally promoted four of his employees at an event Tuesday morning.

Family and friends watched as a lieutenant was promoted to captain, a detective was promoted to sergeant, and two sergeants were promoted to the rank of lieutenant. One of those new lieutenants is Harold Liles.

Liles has been with the sheriff's office for 19 years and says this is a great milestone in his career. Sheriff Boudreaux said Liles earned the promotion through his experience, education, and excellent community relations skills.

"That's why we're here, to serve the community and build that bridge with the community you know, and have a great relationship with the community," Lt. Liles said.

Liles will now head the sheriff's Pixley substation. He started work there Tuesday.
