1-year-old drowns in pool in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY (KFSN) -- A one-year-old boy drowned Thursday in the family pool east of Clovis in Fresno County.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office said the baby's older siblings and some neighbor children were playing in the backyard pool near Bullard and Academy. The baby boy somehow got into the pool and was in the water for four to five minutes. Family members pulled him out and began CPR until paramedics arrived.

The baby was airlifted to Valley Children's Hospital where he died. The parents are not facing any charges at this time.
