FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Some officers who patrol southeast Fresno got a free lunch Friday, courtesy of a little girl whose a big fan.

Jay-Lene Perez, 9, delivered pizzas to the southeast district headquarters Friday afternoon. It was her way of saying thanks to the officers for keeping her neighborhood safe. Jaylene said she saved up to pay for the pies and just wanted to do something to show her appreciation for the men and women and uniform.

"I paid for the pizza for the officer because I care for them and they care for us," she said. "Like how my sign says, 'I support them because they support me.'"

Jaylene is a student at Bakman Elementary School and she said it's good to care about others who care for you.
