FRESNO, Calif. -- A teenager is recovering after being hit by a car while crossing the street in Downtown Fresno.

The accident happened around 7 a.m. Friday at Divisadero Street and Glenn Avenue. Police say the 16-year-old was riding his skateboard in the crosswalk when he was struck by the vehicle.

The driver stopped. Police say the glare from the sun played a factor in the crash.

The teen received some facial injuries and had a few teeth knocked out, but is expected to be okay.
