TRANQUILITY, Calif. (KFSN) --Dozens of former classmates from Tranquility High School are relishing old memories -- Including two students who graduated almost 80 years ago!
Saturday morning, at least 15 different classes of graduates attended a high school reunion. Organizers host the event every three years and continually invite more classes of students.
Two women in particular, who are 95 and 96 years old, graduated in 1938 from the high school.
"It was really great. Because we graduated and there was 22 of us. And as far as Marciel and I know, we're the only ones left," said Mary Miller, class of 1938.
"It's a chance that we get to see our old classmates that we have not seen since 1954, and the other thing, I'd much rather see them here than go to their funeral. It's so much better," said Keith Eubanks, class of 1954.
Organizers say despite many of their classmates moving away from the area, a lot of them fly back to the Central Valley for the reunion every three years.
