Wine, Women, and Shoes helped raise money to help wishes come true
Hundreds of women helped Make-A-Wish Central California fulfill dreams for local children.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Hundreds of women helped Make-A-Wish Central California fulfill dreams for local children. The Wine, Women, and Shoes event held Sunday afternoon raised thousands of dollars for the organization.

The event was complete with a live and silent auction, vendors, and shoe guys to serve the guests.

Cortney Snapp of Make-A-Wish Central California said this event hits close to home. Her nephew chase was diagnosed with leukemia and was a Wish Kid himself.

"He's now 13 and thriving and past that issue that we had as a family, but whenever I'm working hard at an event like this I think of Chase."

The average cost of one wish is $6,500 and they hope they raised at least $100,000 Sunday afternoon. It would help about 20 children get wishes.

ABC30's own Graciela Moreno was the mistress of ceremonies.
