Man dies after he was found beaten in Southeast Fresno
Police are investigating an apparent homicide on Orange Avenue and Butler Avenue in Southeast Fresno.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A homicide investigation is underway in Southeast Fresno after a man was found severely beaten and later died at the hospital.

A passerby in the area of Butler Avenue and Orange Avenue called police to report the injured man shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Upon arrival, medical personnel started CPR and rushed the man to the Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The victim is described as a Hispanic male, but has not yet been identified.

Police are still following up on leads. Investigators are checking with businesses in the area to see if any of them may have surveillance video that can help them find the person who committed this deadly attack.
