Man taken to hospital after being hit by car in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An all too familiar accident occurred along Blackstone Avenue in Central Fresno. A man in his 30's was hit by a car near Dakota just before seven Tuesday night.

The driver of the car stopped and tried to help the man before he was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. The pedestrian is now in critical condition.

Investigators said the stretch of roadway is a problem area, especially at night. In just two short months this is the fourth pedestrian to be hit by a car in the area. Since August 10th two people have been killed and one seriously injured.

All of the accidents happened along Blackstone between Gettysburg and Clinton.
