DMV's throughout California experience computer outages
The Department of Motor Vehicles experienced a system-wide computer outage Tuesday that caused problems for offices all over California.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Department of Motor Vehicles experienced a system-wide computer outage Tuesday that caused problems for offices all over California. Including the location in Clovis and the office at Blackstone and Sierra in north Fresno.

Problems were first reported Monday and continued on Tuesday. In some cases, employees told customers to come back tomorrow.

In a statement, the DMV in Sacramento said offices across the state would still have computer problems. But that they would be open to provide drive tests and help customers with paperwork.

The department said all DMV online services are still up and running and should not be impacted by the outage.
